Bill Klausman's former 1956 Speedster
 

 

I bought my Speedster in 1959 at Grossman & McFadden Used Cars in Seattle for $1995 and then sold it for $1600 in July 1960.  Why wasn't my dad rich and let me store it somewhere?  I now have several cars including a 1958 Mercedes 190SL (50K miles); 1963 Riviera bought in 1966; 1964 TR4; 1972 MGB-GT; 1975 Corvette Roadster (gotta sell or trade to buy my 356).
 

I'm a graduate of Reynolds High School in Troutdale ('58) and Portland State University ('66), and owned several retail businesses in Gresham and Portland.  I am a Past board member of Morrison Center, YMCA, Portland Habilitation Center, and I'm a volunteer counseler with SCORE.
 

Married to Barbara with 4 kids (Mike, Lisa, Steve & Sara), all graduates from Gresham and Barlow high schools.

Ran for Multnomah County Commissioner in 1986.  Didn't win but placed 4th out of 8 on the ballot.  Not bad for a nobody!!
