My Dad gave me his 1960, Silver w/ Red interior Sun Roof 1600 S coupe, on my
30th birthday and that's been about 20 years now !!! He bought the car new in
1959 and I was a one year old heading for the terrible two's... I must of been a
motorhead, because he gave it to me 29 years later !!! Dad now lives in Arizona
with all his other Porsches. We get together a couple times a year and he
sometimes meets up with those Arizona Outlaws.
I have shared this special car with family and friends over the years, but of
late, I'm playing with all the guys here in the Mid-Columbia Gorge group at
"Route 30 Classics". I really like sports car road racing and have crewed with
friends, but also enjoy watching F-1 and vintage car races too. Not unlike cars
this old, it needs work here and there, but most of all it loves to be driven
and the work will come later.
